When i was younger i use to say that i would never wear a suit, because suits were made for old people. 🤣 So according to my younger self i became old!! Seriously speaking though, DON’T BE CAUGHT UP BY WHAT YOU SEE ON SOCIAL MEDIA. Contrary to how it might appear on the ‘gram, I’m actually dressed like this 70% of the time IRL😂

For me, @instagram is great for finding the newest places to eat, finding good fitness infographics and getting motivation/inspiration. However, the ‘gram also perpetuates this false image of reality; one that we need to be careful not to be sucked into

I know this topic has been covered numerous times, but I think it’s worth repeating; that we need constant reminders that social media is but an outlet of expression, and not a measure of one’s self worth

I’ve been reading a few articles that talk about how Instagram is the worst social media platform for mental health, and I can see why. Don’t get me wrong, I love the ‘gram, but it’s always good to remember that social media only but provides the most glamorous and curated glimpses into the lives of others. To remember not to pedastalize or even dehumanize others; that behind that Instagram count, no matter the follower count, is a fellow human being who, like you, has his/her share of ups and downs☺️
